Kaya Yorgancı

Prof. Dr. Kaya Yorgancı was born on October 21, 1966, in Ankara. He completed his secondary education at T.E.D. Ankara College and graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1991. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery, in 1997. He became an Associate Professor in 2003 and was promoted to Professor in 2010. Between 2000 and 2001, he received surgical critical care training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. At various times, he also participated in advanced laparoscopic surgery training programs in France, Germany, and the United States.

Professor Yorgancı is the father of Atahan and Cansu. He enjoys amateur gardening and is an enthusiast and collector of antique copperware.
