Dr. Süleyman Yıldırım graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 2011. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Dokuz Eylül University in 2016, and his subspecialty training in Intensive Care Medicine at University of Health Sciences, Dr. Suat Seren Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Training and Research Hospital in 2019. In 2024, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Intensive Care Medicine. Throughout his academic and clinical career, he has conducted extensive research and clinical work on critical topics in intensive care, including invasive mechanical ventilation, optimization of ventilator settings, patient–ventilator interaction, transpulmonary pressure monitoring, ARDS management, ECMO, and sepsis. He is currently working at the Intensive Care Unit of University of Health Sciences, Dr. Suat Seren Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Training and Research Hospital.
